Hey Howdy Hey! Marco here! So you want to get back in shape and start eating healthy right.. however you have no idea where or how to start! Well, first of all, learn to breathe properly and then commit to working on your self esteem. And please don't forget to train your brain! Most people go thru life just getting by. I'm guilty too. Wouldn't the World be a much better place if we were all healthier and happier? If we learned not to take things personal. If we learned to love who we are and the people we are involved with? If we stopped holding grudges. If we realized we all want the same things in life? There's too much sadness in the World today. Too much stress. Not enough time... Okay, I'll stop.
Here's an excellent article written by Matt Frazier, the no meat athlete. Please enjoy!
Hey, it's Marco! What tha? No wheat? Every day, over 200 million Americans (and millions more elsewhere in the world) consume food products made of wheat. As a result, over 100 million of them experience some form of adverse health effect, ranging from minor rashes and high blood sugar to the unattractive stomach bulges that preventive cardiologist William Davis calls “wheat bellies.” Davis says that excess fat is not related to inactivity or high fat diets but is due to our love of foods like bread, pasts, muffins and cakes. None of these foods were consumed by our Paleolithic ancestors. It doesn’t matter if you eat whole wheat, multi-grain, unsprouted, germ, organic or gluten free because wheat is still wheat...
Hey, it's Marco! Today we're going to take a collective look at all the conflicting warnings and exhortations we hear about what we should and shouldn't eat. It seems everyone has some pet theory that you shouldn't drink milk, or you have to eat organic, or you shouldn't eat "processed" foods, or you must only eat raw. There are always explanations for why this is: We didn't "evolve" to eat this or that; it isn't "natural" to eat something; our digestive systems weren't meant to handle a certain thing. I know what you're thinking: How is it possible to cover all those possible claims in a single "Skeptoid" episode? We're going to do it by stepping back from all of the specific claims and specific foods, way back. We're going to look at food as a whole, and study what it's made of, what those bits are, see what we need and what we don't. And then, with this as a foundation, we'll have the tools to effectively examine any given eating philosophy.
Hey, it's Marco! These guidelines dictate what our school kids are taught, what they will eat, what our military will eat, and on an even larger scale, what the food manufacturers will be pumping out of their factories, which will then be advertised like crazy as "Good For Us!" Whatev...(Oh, and please forgive the bad word in the picture! Just thought that would, well, you know, add some flavor to the article!) Sorry Mom! I'll go wash my mouth out with soap...
