Do you tend to look on the sunny side, or do you see a future filled with dark, stormy skies? A growing body of research suggests that having a positive outlook can benefit your physical health. NIH-funded scientists are working to better understand the links between your attitude and your body. They’re finding some evidence that emotional wellness can be improved by developing certain skills. Research has found a link between an upbeat mental state and improved health, including lower blood pressure, reduced risk for heart disease, healthier weight, better blood sugar levels, and longer life. But many studies can’t determine whether positive emotions lead to better health, if being healthy causes positive emotions, or if other factors are involved.

IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU
A guy named Shane made this video. It is heart-wrenching and poignant in what it achieves.
Shane’s true love died, and what happened next is heart-breaking and, unfortunately, real.
In Shane’s words: “It has been said that sharing personal stories is one of the most effective ways to change people’s hearts and minds. This is my story and I hope you are inspired to share it with others.”
PS: I'm shocked that so many people can't understand human emotion but seem to know SO MUCH about 'God' & how gays are 'sinners'
Let's clear some things up:
1. Your sexuality is NOT a choice.
2. The idea of a 'God' was most likely though up by humans at some point in history. (but I still believe)
I am not a homosexual but it is obvious something needs to change, this is the 21st century there shouldn't be laws against love, I fully support your cause & I'm so sorry for the loss of Tom.
3. I thought marriage was about love..

Barry Schwartz: The paradox of choice
Psychologist Barry Schwartz takes aim at a central tenet of western societies: freedom of choice. In Schwartz's estimation, choice has made us not freer but more paralyzed, not happier but more dissatisfied. This dude is right on the money!

Ten Ways To Remove Negative Energy. Really!
Have you ever come away from a conversation with a friend feeling down, empty or alone, in spite of being in a good mood at the beginning of the discussion? Do you find that you are more concerned with the drawbacks of doing something than actually doing it? Or, does the thought of going into your office make you feel sick? If you said yes to any of these questions, you are most likely in the presence of negativity.
Negativity is all around us and doesn’t always present itself in an obvious way. Is a matter of fact, there are three sources from which negativity usually breeds: Negativity in your relationships, negativity within yourself and negativity within your environment. Whether you are receiving it from one or all sources, here are some things you can do to reduce the negativity in your life:

A GREAT MARRIAGE STORY!
Hi, Marco here. Being the romantic that I am, I had to share this beautiful story of love. Love, it's not what you think...
Great Marriage Story
My husband is an Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature, and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.
Three years of courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.
I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings, I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband, is my complete opposite, his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love.
One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.
“Why?” he asked, shocked. “I am tired, there are no reasons for everything in the world!” I answered. He kept silent the whole night, seems to be in deep thought with a lighted cigarette at all times. My feeling of disappointment only increased, here was a man who can’t even express his predicament, what else can I hope from him? And finally he asked me:” What can I do to change your mind?”
Somebody said it right, it’s hard to change a person’s personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him. Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered : “Here is the question, if you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind, Let’s say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death, will you do it for me?” He said :” I will give you your answer tomorrow….” My hopes just sank by listening to his response.
I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting, underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes…. My dear, “I would not pick that flower for you, but please allow me to explain the reasons further..” This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading.
“When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen, I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs. You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you. You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city, I have to save my eyes to show you the way. You always have the cramps whenever your “good friend” approaches every month, I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.
You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom. You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes, I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails, and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand… and tell you the color of flowers, just like the color of the glow on your young face… Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do… I could not pick that flower yet, and die.. ”
My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting… and as I continue on reading… “Now, that you have finished reading my answer, if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk… I rush to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread….
Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone…
That’s life, and love. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.
Love shows up in all forms, even very small and cheeky forms, it has never been a model, it could be the most dull and boring form… flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands… and that’s our life… Love, not words win arguments…

CAT PHILOSOPHY SCHOOL OR CHASING HAPPINESS!
There was an old wise cat and a small kitten in an alleyway. The old cat saw the kitten chasing its tail and asked, “Why are you chasing your tail?”
To it the kitten replied, “I’ve been attending cat philosophy school and I have learned that the most important thing for a cat is happiness, and that happiness is located in my tail. Therefore, I am chasing it: and when I catch it, I shall have happiness forever.”
Laughing, the wise old cat replied, “My son, I wasn’t lucky enough to go to cat philosophy school, but as I’ve gone through life, I too have realized that the most important thing for a cat is happiness, and indeed that it is located in my tail. The difference I’ve found though is that whenever I chase after it, it keeps running away from me, but when I go about my business and live my life, it just seems to follow after me wherever I go.”
Take a moment to imagine the life that would bring you a sense of success and happiness. Hold that picture in your mind and soon you will find that you don’t need to chase after success and happiness, because as you live the life that you’ve imagined for yourself, those things will follow close behind. Remember, if you want a happier life, just be happy...

THE STRANGEST SECRET...
Have you ever wondered why so many people work so hard and honestly without ever achieving anything in particular, and why others don't seem to work hard, yet seem to get everything? They seem to have the "magic touch." You've heard people say, "Everything he or she touches turns to gold." Have you ever noticed that a person who becomes successful tends to continue to become more successful? And, on the other hand, have you noticed how someone who's a failure tends to continue to fail? If you take 100 individuals who start even at the age of 25, do you have any idea what will happen to those men and women by the time they're 65? These 100 people believe they're going to be successful. They are eager toward life, there is a certain sparkle in their eye, an erectness to their carriage, and life seems like a pretty interesting adventure to them.
But by the time they're 65, only one will be rich, four will be financially independent, five will still be working, and 54 will be broke — depending on others for life's necessities.

Sonja Lyubomirsky - The How of Happiness
Happiness! How do you get it and how can you keep it?! Wanna find out? Read the Book! "The How of Happiness!" Doo eet! Doo eet now! We live in a very ungrateful society today. This all breeds the negativism that we see all to well, every day and every where. There have been some very interesting scientific studies done in recent past, on this very subject. These are scientific proofs, that negativism, and all the other bad stuff that are associated with it, are detrimental to your health. You want to grow up into a mean old person, (Like my Step Mom!) barking out negativity and sarcasm, wherever you go, not having any friends or family members that want to be around you, and shortening your life, then continue on the road you’re traveling. Stop reading this blog post right now, and go out and yell and complain to someone... Remember, happiness is a choice! Happy today, no drugs tomorrow... but then again, there are some drugs that can make one very happy! But these drugs will kill you and also fill Big Pharma's pockets with your hard earned ca$h! And why would you need a pill to make you happy? Happiness is not an external thing... it's an internal thing that you were born with! You just forgot where you put it! It's still in there! Let it out sometimes! Or all the time!

Detoxify Your Ego To Prepare For The Energy Shift Ahead

Hey! Marco here! As you approach this beautiful period of ascension where you are changing our density and moral landscape, it will be more important than ever to learn how to connect with others more and detox your ego.
First, you need to detoxify your mind, that is, rid it of all thoughts and intentions that do not promote advancements in morality. Make sure that you do not even think of doing harm to others. You should know how not to give sorrow to others nor let others give you sorrow. Some people tend to specialize in causing sorrow to others. If you are not alert to the devices of such people, you will pick up the sorrows, and keep them in your mind. Use your mental and physical faculties to fight the tendency to harp on these negative thoughts that can cause harm. You have to use your imagination to think of alternatives to such negative thoughts. Remember, some folks, like my Step Mom, go thru life looking for a reason to be offended! Stay away from these negative energy suckers!

The Many Benefits of Laughter!
Hey, it's Marco! The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed! Laughter is a great thing -- that's why we've all heard the saying, "Laughter is the best medicine." There is strong evidence that laughter can actually improve health and help fight disease. So much for the phrase, "She died laughing!"

Don't Worry, Be Happy, Live Longer!
Hey, it's Marco! This is so true! Be Happy! No matter what happens to us in our daily lives, we can choose to be happy. Happiness comes from the inside! It certainly cannot be found. And worry? Check out Matthew 6:27. (that's in your Bible, folks and yes I still read it) As I always say, If it's out of your control and there's nothing you can do about it, why worry? If it's in your control and you can do something about it, why worry? Wasn't it Mark Twain that stated: "I have known a great deal of troubles, and most of them never happened."! So, if you can bring me a big ole bag of stress, or a bucket full of worry, I'll give you $10,000!
Remember, stress kills!
