Hey, it's Marco! Most diet and nutrition experts agree that you should snack between meals. Yet, there are rules to the snacking game. Snacking on the wrong foods, snacking on too much food, snacking too often -- and at the wrong time in the wrong place -- can make you fat! Confused?
The term “snack” can mean many different things to many different people. To Cameron, a snack could mean a greasy taco and a large cupcake. To Simone, it could simply mean a 100-calorie trail mix snack. However, to many people snacks have become something to avoid.
They have become the nightmares of their everyday lives. Snacks are everywhere! And don't even get me started on those nasty vending machines! They're often filled with empty calories, sodas, candy bars and high super high sodium levels. It'ss not hard to see why they have been regarded with fear!
But snacks can be more than a bag of salty chips or marshmallow chocolate bar (don’t let their yummy names and colorful packaging get to you!). Healthy snacks have tons of great benefits that include losing weight, managing weight and providing lasting energy throughout your day.
