Wanna Make Your Own Protein Bar? Try This!
But first! Here's 5 reasons regular protein bars suck!
PS: Thanks Shane for the recipe
1. Eating too many will “suck” the sexiness right out of you, thanks to being loaded with sugar
2. They are addictive because they rarely have healthy fats or enough protein to keep you feeling full
3. They force you to snack, therefore spiking your fat storing hormone insulin, between meals
4. They don’t make you better at sports
5. Nothing natural about them
Nutrition facts
This recipe will make 24 bars. ONE bar is a serving. Not FIVE!
Calories: 323
Fat: 23
Protein: 14
Carbohydrates: 17
Sugar 6 (from dark chocolate, blueberries and bananas):
Recipe
2 mashed bananas
3 cups instant oats
4 tbs ground flax seed
6-8 scoops Life Time, Life's Basics Plant Protein Powder, with Greens
½ cup almond butter
½ cup coconut oil (melted)
½ cup water
4 tbs dark chocolate chunks
½ cup dried blueberries
Instructions:
Mix everything together except the chocolate chunks. This will work best if you add and mix one ingredient at a time. It’s very sticky. Line a 9 x 13 pan with foil or wax paper. I like the wax paper best. Add mixed ingredients to the pan, spread. Melt the chocolate chunks in a pan and add a little water as you go so it stays creamy and doesn’t harden. Spread the chocolate over the spread and freeze for at least 2 hours. Thaw for 5 minutes, cut into bars. Enjoy.
Benefits of the Body Bar
Increase strength, stamina and endurance
Shorten recovery times
Boost good calories for muscle building without spiking insulin
Will keep you full after meal time so you don't have to snack
WARNING
These are not to be eaten as a snack or a meal replacement. They are designed to be added to a meal, for individuals who are already at their OPTIMAL body fat percentage. These are perfect for the athlete, picky child, or to eat with a “light” meal on the go. And if you want to serve a healthy dessert, this is perfect!

What We Had For Dessert Tonight! Yummy!!
Hey, it's Marco. Anything with butter has got to be good, right? Okay, yeah, we're kinda broke for a while. We're down over 60K this month, (ouch!) but that's another story that I'm not gettin' into here. Once the litigation is over, perhaps in a couple of hundred years, I'll tell you all about it. Just know this, some people are evil... Anyway, we've been living lightly this entire year, and I mean light. Basics. We even share toilet paper. Kinda gross. So, all I had in the fridge for a tasty treat tonight after dinner was some pumpkin tortillas. I also had some organic butter, organic cheese, some cinnamon and maple syrup. Hmm... What to do. What to do. Fry it up ya'll! Warm the pumpkin torts in a iron pan. (Put a little butter in first) Flip tortilla, and when warm, add the cheese, cinnamon, fold the tortilla and cook on medium heat until it's hot. Put the (wonder what I'll call these things) on a plate and add a little maple syrup. Wow! These little morsels were quite tasty! Fattening? Who cares. We're on the "I'm Broke" diet right now. So. Please try these. They were outstanding! and messy... the syrup kinda dribbles down your arm. Must have napkins!
Here's all you need:
Paqui's Pumpkin Tortillas (Austin, Texas. Yeah baby!)
Organic Butter
Organic Cheddar or American Cheese
Cinnamon
Dash of Celtic Sea Salt
Organic Maple Syrup
Oh, and a pan and a gas stove! and maybe some fiber!
Enjoy! Just don't eat too many...

RAW ICE CREAM WITH HONEY AND BLUEBERRIES!
Hey, it's Marco! Shut up and have some REAL ice cream! In the spring and summer months, when cows are grazing on fresh, green grass, raw ice cream is a staple in my belly! Unlike the crappy, garbage one buys from from the supermarket, this ice cream is milder in is sweetness which allows you to more fully appreciate the flavor of fresh, raw cream and milk. Ok, I use almond milk, because raw milk, while I can handle a gallon or two a year, still gives me the heeby geebies! But dude, I can spit about a mile after a glass! But that's kinda gross...
To make a quart or so of this honey and blackberry, raw milk ice cream, you'll need:
3 Cups Fresh, Raw Cream from Grass-fed Cows (Pain in the arse to find, but just do it!) Oh..Kinda pricey... $$
1 Cup Fresh, Raw Whole Milk from Grass-fed Cows (Yeah, this stuff is about $6.00/gallon)
½ Cup Raw Wildflower Honey (Local if possible)
4 Egg Yolks from Pastured Hens (Try "Vital Farms" outta Austin, Tx) -------> Or Whole Foods...
1 Cup Fresh Blueberries (You know the deal... Organic!) Or blackberries, strawberries...
Instructions:
Mix cream and milk together.
Rapidly whisk in the honey and continue to whisk until the honey is fully incorporated. (That means all mixed together btw...) Just trying to sound important...
Whisk in egg yolks and continue mixing until the entire mixture is, well, until your arm hurts...
Pour mixture into your ice cream maker. You've got an ice cream maker right?
Add berries.
Mix according to your ice cream maker’s instructions.
Place in freezer till frozen. That's it...
And then sell it to your neighbors for some ca$h! Kids gotta go to college...
